About This Event

AVMA Convention 2026 unites the whole veterinary community each summer—veterinarians, veterinary technicians, students, practice managers, and others—for world-class education, networking, and special events. It's the premier CE event for all veterinary professionals, drawing more than 8,000 attendees. The convention offers a high-intent environment for showcasing diagnostics, therapeutics, nutrition, practice technology, and patient-care tools to decision-makers who influence purchasing and protocols. The event features comprehensive continuing education opportunities, with nearly 200 sessions that will be livestreamed and recorded for on-demand viewing. Dr. Mark Penning, vice president of Animals, Science, and Environment at Disney Parks, will deliver the keynote address, offering an inside look at how The Walt Disney Company ensures that animals at Disney's Animal Kingdom and The Seas at Epcot not only survive but thrive. The exhibit hall will be open July 11-13, providing opportunities for attendees to explore the latest innovations in veterinary medicine and animal health.

Anaheim Convention Center

Anaheim Convention Center

800 W Katella Ave, Anaheim, California, United States, 92802

Anaheim Convention Center is the largest convention center on the West Coast of the United States, originally opening in July 1967 and owned and operated by the City of Anaheim. Located at 800 W Katella Avenue across from the Disneyland Resort in the heart of The Anaheim Resort, this world-class facility spans 53 acres and offers over 1.8 million square feet of flexible function space. The convention center underwent six major expansions between 1974 and 2017, including a $190-million expansion completed in 2017 that enhanced its status as one of the most flexible convention centers in North America. The facility features spectacular glass walls that soar 190 feet high and welcomes more than 1 million visitors annually. The center hosts approximately 300 events each year, including major trade shows, conventions, corporate events, consumer shows, meetings, social functions and banquets. Notable events include the Winter NAMM Show, Natural Products Expo West, VidCon, BlizzCon, Anime Expo, D23 Expo, WonderCon, Star Wars Celebration, and Pokemon World Championships. The venue also served as the wrestling venue for the 1984 Summer Olympics. With over 1 million square feet of exhibit space, 5,700 parking spaces, and comprehensive facilities including meeting rooms, ballrooms, an arena, and outdoor event spaces, the Anaheim Convention Center serves diverse industries from entertainment and technology to healthcare and manufacturing, making it a premier destination for both national and international events.
