About This Event

A major art exhibition featuring 106 selected paintings and artifacts from the Palace Museum in Beijing, the Art Institute of Chicago, the Palace of Versailles in France, and the Hong Kong Museum of Art. The exhibition showcases Claude Monet's original 'Water Lilies' (1906) and 'Water Lily Pond' (1900) exhibited in Hong Kong for the first time, alongside masterpieces by Wen Zhengming, Zhang Daqian, and other masters. The display examines garden culture in both Chinese and Western traditions, including grand imperial gardens of Emperor Qianlong and King Louis XIV, showcasing a dialogue between Eastern and Western garden aesthetics through artistic representations.
