Baird Center is Milwaukee's premier convention and exhibition center, formerly known as the Wisconsin Center, located in downtown Milwaukee, Wisconsin. The venue underwent a massive $456 million expansion completed in 2024, nearly doubling its size to 1.3 million total square feet. The center now features 300,000 contiguous square feet of exhibition space, 52 meeting rooms, and state-of-the-art inclusive amenities. The expansion includes the spectacular rooftop Baird Ballroom that can accommodate up to 2,000 people for seated dinners, paired with the Baird Sky View Terrace offering breathtaking views of the Milwaukee skyline. The facility is operated by the Wisconsin Center District and serves as Wisconsin's largest and most flexible convention center. Baird Center hosts a wide variety of events including conventions, trade shows, meetings, galas, and entertainment events, serving industries ranging from healthcare and technology to manufacturing and consumer goods. The venue features 22 loading docks with four drive-in ramps, 400 indoor parking spaces, two ballrooms, and is connected by skywalks to three convention hotels. The center has achieved LEED Gold certification for its commitment to sustainability and is GBAC Star-Accredited for cleanliness standards. Notable events hosted include the 2020 Democratic National Convention and the 2024 Republican National Convention. The facility is strategically located in the heart of downtown Milwaukee, providing easy access to the Milwaukee RiverWalk, restaurants, entertainment venues, and is just blocks from the Fiserv Forum.
