Ohio Dominican University is a private Catholic Dominican university located in Columbus, Ohio, founded in 1911 as the College of St. Mary of the Springs. The university became coeducational in 1964 and changed its name to Ohio Dominican College in 1968, before becoming Ohio Dominican University in 2002. ODU serves approximately 1,209 students across 51 undergraduate majors and 9 graduate degree programs on its beautiful 75-acre campus. The university offers comprehensive event hosting and conference facilities including traditional classrooms, conference and meeting spaces, a newly renovated theater, and indoor and outdoor athletic venues. The Alumni Gym features 3,074 square feet of space with a capacity of 300 people in classroom setup. The Griffin Student Center provides conference rooms 258, 259, and 260 which can be combined into one large event facility. ODU's campus is conveniently located less than 10 minutes from John Glenn International Airport and downtown Columbus, with numerous lodging and dining options nearby. The university provides state-of-the-art AV equipment including built-in LCD projectors, drop-down screens, and sound systems in many rooms. On-campus catering services offer a wide range of options, and complimentary parking is available for all events. As Central Ohio's only NCAA Division II Catholic university, ODU hosts academic conferences, corporate meetings, athletic events, cultural programs, and community gatherings. The university serves diverse industries including education, healthcare, business, and nonprofit organizations through its comprehensive event hosting services managed by the Events and Conferences department.
