DEFEA Conference

The DEFEA Conference returns to address current issues in defence, security, innovation and industry as Europe navigates technological challenges, new hybrid threats and increased production demands. The conference offers a high-level platform for dialogue on pressing defence and security issues, held under the auspices of the Hellenic Ministry of National Defence and in cooperation with SEKPY. The event fosters institutional dialogue, policy development and innovation across the defence ecosystem. The conference focuses on three pivotal thematic sections: Industrial Base and Procurement Transformation, Defence Innovation and Technology Transfer, and Strategic Autonomy and Emerging Threats. As geopolitical instability, hybrid warfare, space and cyber domain expansion, and the rise of AI in defence reshape collective security, this conference explores how nations can strengthen deterrence and defence through strategic autonomy and industrial sovereignty. Innovation ecosystems, dual-use technologies and collaborative R&D are highlighted as vital for future capabilities.
