Hawaii Convention Center

Hawaii Convention Center

1801 Kalakaua Avenue, Honolulu, Hawaii, United States, 96815

Hawaii Convention Center is a premier convention and exhibition facility located in Honolulu, Hawaii, serving as the largest exhibition center of its type in the state. Completed in 1997 and opened in 1998, this 1.1 million square foot facility was designed by world-renowned architects Wimberly Allison Tong & Goo and LMN Architects as the largest design-build project undertaken by the State of Hawaii at a construction cost of 200 million dollars. The center features a striking open-air architectural design that captures Hawaii's unique sense of place, with soaring forms reminiscent of tropical palm trees and Polynesian sailing canoes. The facility boasts a 200,000 square foot divisible exhibit hall, a 35,000 square foot ballroom, 47 breakout meeting rooms, tiered-seating theaters, and a rooftop tropical garden function space. The venue is adorned with courtyards, waterfalls, fishponds, and a permanent art collection in partnership with the Hawaii State Foundation on Culture and the Arts. Currently managed by ASM Global, the center hosts major events including conventions, trade shows, conferences, sports tournaments with 28 volleyball and badminton courts, 18 basketball courts, and 11 futsal courts. The facility has won multiple Prime Site Awards for twelve consecutive years and was voted the most beautiful convention center in the world by the International Association of Exhibitions and Events. Located just steps from Waikiki, the center offers 690 parking spaces and serves industries ranging from technology and healthcare to tourism and international business, making it a world-class destination for global meetings and conventions.
