Since its founding in 1993, it has evolved from a local comic and toy fair into an internationally acclaimed cultural event. The convention attracts fans, creatives, and collectors from all over the world to Austria's capital. The term 'COMIX' represents more than just traditional comics – it encompasses a broad spectrum of creative expression, from manga and graphic novels to underground illustrations and pop art. The event features over 130 vendor booths offering rare collectibles, new releases, and cult items, plus an Artist Alley with more than 100 illustrators. The diverse cosplay program includes shows, competitions, and professional photo shoots. Additional themed areas ensure a varied and immersive experience for attendees of all ages.
