About Africa CDC
Africa Centres for Disease Control and Prevention (Africa CDC) is a specialized technical institution of the African Union that supports member states in strengthening their health systems and capacity to detect, prevent, control, and respond rapidly to disease threats. Established in 2017, Africa CDC works to protect and improve the health, safety, and wellbeing of people in Africa. The organization coordinates continental public health responses, builds emergency preparedness, and promotes health security across all 55 African Union member states.
