Agglomération Seine-Eure
About Agglomération Seine-Eure
Communauté d'agglomération Seine-Eure (Agglo Seine-Eure) is a French inter-municipal public body in the Eure department of Normandy, grouping 60 communes and serving roughly 103,000 residents. It originated as the Communauté de communes Seine-Eure in 1997 with just three member communes (Louviers, Incarville, and Val-de-Reuil) before becoming a full agglomeration community in 2001 as it expanded. The organisation is responsible for a wide range of local public services across its territory, including home-help services, waste collection and management, public transport, urban planning, leisure facilities, and support for housing and employment projects. Its territory combines preserved natural areas with economic development zones, and the agglomeration promotes itself as a place to live, work, and invest. Seine-Eure also publishes governance and transparency reports, including pay equity and gender-balance disclosures for senior appointments, in line with French public administration requirements.
