About China Energy Research Society
China Energy Research Society (CERS) is a national, academic, and non-profit social organization established in January 1981 and headquartered in Beijing, China. CERS is voluntarily formed by enterprises, institutions, social organizations, and professionals working in energy science and technology. The society is approved for registration by the Ministry of Civil Affairs and operates under the guidance, supervision, and administration of the China Association for Science and Technology (CAST). With more than 600 corporate members and over 50,000 individual members, CERS operates through 10 working committees, 43 professional committees, and 5 branches covering all major energy disciplines including thermal power, nuclear energy, renewable energy, coal, oil and gas, energy storage, and energy efficiency. CERS organizes and co-organizes academic conferences, industry forums, international exhibitions, and scientific exchange events related to China's energy sector. Key events include major energy industry exhibitions, the China Nuclear Energy High Quality Development Conference and Expo, and various energy technology forums. CERS also publishes industry journals, formulates energy group standards, and conducts energy policy research and consultation for the Chinese government.
