Chinese Association of Refrigeration

Chinese Association of Refrigeration (CAR) is a national scientific organization in the field of refrigeration, air-conditioning, and HVAC, founded on April 25, 1977. It is a first-grade institute subordinate to the China Association for Science and Technology (CAST) and is headquartered in Beijing. CAR formally joined the International Institute of Refrigeration (IIR, Paris) in January 1978 as a second-grade membership country. The association has over 443 company members, 93 super-senior members, more than 15,000 ordinary members, and 26 regional refrigeration associations across China. CAR is the principal organizer of the China Refrigeration Expo — one of the world's largest professional exhibitions in the refrigeration industry — held annually in Beijing, attracting over 1,200 exhibitors and 61,000 visitors from more than 30 countries. The association conducts academic exchanges, technical consultations, international scientific communication, professional training, and publication of industry journals, serving the refrigeration, HVAC, cold chain, and food processing sectors across China and internationally.
