Chinese Institute of Electronics

Chinese Institute of Electronics (CIE) is a nationwide, non-profit academic and professional organization established in 1962, affiliated with the China Association for Science and Technology (CAST) and the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of China. Headquartered in Beijing, CIE has over 100,000 individual members, over 600 corporate members, and 43 professional branches covering the entire spectrum of electronic information science, including semiconductors, computers, communications, radar, navigation, microwave technology, signal processing, and electronic measurement. CIE is a full member of the International Federation for Information Processing (IFIP) and the Union Radio-Scientifique Internationale (URSI). The institute organizes numerous academic conferences, exhibitions, and industry events — including the World Robot Conference and various electronic information technology expos — serving the electronic and information technology sectors at both national and international levels. CIE also maintains institutional relationships with IEEE, IET, JSAP, and other global engineering organizations.
