Farnborough International Limited (FIL) is a wholly owned subsidiary of ADS Group, the UK trade organisation representing the aerospace, defence, security, and space sectors. FIL operates a three-strand business: it is the organiser of the biennial Farnborough International Airshow, one of the world's leading aerospace and defence trade events; it operates the Farnborough International Exhibition and Conference Centre, a purpose-built venue for major events; and it acts as international consultants for civil, defence, and business aviation events, including the Bahrain International Airshow and India Aviation. The company also runs Farnborough International Studios, a film and television production facility, and Farnborough International Productions, extending its capabilities into media production and storytelling. FIL has its permanent headquarters at Farnborough Airport in Hampshire, UK, historically recognized as the birthplace of British aviation, and has recently acquired a 48% ownership stake in Automotion Events, the company behind The British Motor Show. The organisation also leads Sustainable Skies, an event focused on innovation and collaboration in sustainable aviation and the industry's transition to net zero.
