The Ministry of Commerce of the People's Republic of China (MOFCOM), commonly referred to as the Ministry of Commerce (MOC), is the central government authority responsible for formulating and implementing policies related to domestic and foreign trade, foreign direct investment, and economic cooperation. Headquartered in Beijing, MOC oversees China's trade promotion activities, manages market access negotiations, and supervises major trade and investment exhibitions held in China. The ministry co-organizes flagship national trade events including the China Import and Export Fair (Canton Fair), the China International Import Expo (CIIE), and the China International Fair for Trade in Services (CIFTIS). MOC plays a pivotal role in shaping China's global trade relationships and in promoting Chinese goods and investment destinations internationally.
