About Ministry of Defence of the Slovak Republic
The Ministry of Defence of the Slovak Republic (Ministerstvo obrany Slovenskej republiky) is the central government body responsible for the defense policy, management of the Slovak Armed Forces, and security of Slovakia. As a member of NATO since 2004, Slovakia actively participates in collective defense and international peacekeeping missions. The Ministry oversees military modernization, procurement of defense equipment, and cooperation with allied nations. It organizes and participates in defense exhibitions, security conferences, and military technology forums such as DSEI and EUROSATORY, showcasing Slovak defense capabilities and advancing international defense cooperation in line with NATO commitments.
