About Ministry of Tourism (Mintur)
The Ministerio de Turismo del Ecuador (MINTUR) is Ecuador's official government authority responsible for planning, directing, regulating, and promoting tourism as a strategic sector for sustainable economic development. MINTUR promotes Ecuador as an international tourism destination through participation in global travel fairs including the ITB Berlin and World Travel Market, and organizes domestic tourism programs that highlight Ecuador's unparalleled natural diversity — from the Galápagos Islands and Amazon rainforest to the Andean highlands and Pacific coast.
