OffKai Expo

OffKai Expo is a California registered 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation founded in 2022 that operates as the world's first VTuber focused convention. The organization was created by a group of friends, fans, and convention runners from many different fandoms working together to bring creators big and small from all aspects of the VTubing world to one place. This volunteer-run convention serves as a true passion project with the goal to celebrate and educate about the digital and virtual arts subculture, technology, history, and performance art. OffKai Expo creates collaborative spaces that inform and educate on tools, techniques, and skills related to the creation of virtual arts and entertainment. The organization has experienced remarkable growth since its inaugural event in 2022, with OffKai Expo Gen 3 in 2024 reaching capacity with over 3,000 attendees from more than 30 countries and 49 U.S. states, representing a 65% increase in attendance from the previous year. The convention features extensive programming including meet and greet opportunities with VTubers, educational workshops, performances, concerts, artist and vendor halls, gaming tournaments, and specialized events like the popular maid cafe OffKai Cafe and cosplay contests. OffKai Expo has established partnerships with major industry leaders including COVER Corporation (parent company of hololive production), Bandai Namco Filmworks Inc., and Phase Connect, positioning itself as a key gathering hub for the global VTuber community and adjacent anime, gaming, and pop culture fanbase.
