Pesticides Manufacturers & Formulators Association of India (PMFAI)

The Pesticides Manufacturers & Formulators Association of India (PMFAI), established in 1967 and headquartered in Mumbai, is a national non-profit organization representing more than 200 large, medium, and small-scale agrochemical companies engaged in manufacturing and formulating pesticides across India. PMFAI works to protect and promote the interests of its member pesticide manufacturers and formulators, supporting improvements and innovation in pesticide formulation technologies, advancing technical research in pesticide application methods, and contributing to India's national food production programs. The association maintains close working relationships with industry bodies such as the CCFI and CLI in India and engages in dialogue with pesticide associations worldwide, including cooperation agreements with organizations such as the Russian Agrochemical Association, the Vietnam Pesticides Association, and the Iranian Agrochemicals Association. PMFAI organizes the International Crop Protection Expo (ICSCE) and other global trade events to promote Indian agrochemical products in markets including Latin America, Africa, and Southeast Asia, and advocates for rational pesticide use, farmer education on Integrated Pest Management, and sustainable agriculture practices. The association is led by President Pradip Dave and Deputy Executive Director Aparna Deshpande Bhasin.
