Orange County Convention Center is the second-largest convention center in the United States and the primary public convention center for the Central Florida region. Opened in 1983 as the Orange County Convention and Civic Center, the facility has undergone extensive expansions over four decades to become a world-class venue. The OCCC offers 7 million square feet of total space, with 2.1 million square feet of exhibition space across two main buildings - the West Building and the North-South Building. The venue attracts more than 200 events annually, bringing approximately 1.5 million attendees who contribute over $3.9 billion to the local economy. The facility serves diverse industries including technology, healthcare, automotive, consumer goods, and entertainment, hosting major trade shows, conventions, corporate meetings, and cultural events. Key facilities include multiple exhibition halls, 70 meeting rooms, 226 breakout rooms, the Valencia Ballroom, Chapin Theater, and extensive pre-function spaces. The center features 23,000 parking spaces and is connected to over 5,000 hotel rooms via six pedestrian bridges. Located in Orlando's Convention Center District on International Drive, the OCCC is strategically positioned 15 minutes from Orlando International Airport and surrounded by world-class entertainment attractions. The venue is nationally recognized for its environmental stewardship, holding LEED Gold certification and being the first convention center in the US to receive ISO certification for Environmental Management Systems. A major Grand Concourse Expansion project valued at $560 million is scheduled to begin in 2026, adding 44,000 square feet of meeting space and a 100,000-square-foot ballroom by 2029.
