Oregon Convention Center is the largest convention center in the Pacific Northwest and serves as a catalyst for Oregon's economy, generating more than $330 million in consumer spending annually. Completed in 1989 and opened in 1990, the facility is located on the east side of the Willamette River in Portland's Lloyd District neighborhood and is owned and operated by Metro, the Portland area's regional government. The center spans nearly 1 million square feet and features 255,000 square feet of contiguous exhibit space, making it ideal for events ranging from intimate corporate gatherings to large-scale international conventions. The facility includes two grand ballrooms, 50 meeting rooms, restaurants, and full-service catering capabilities. The Oregon Convention Center is distinguished by its iconic twin spire towers that provide natural light to the building's interior and house the world's largest Foucault pendulum. The venue is LEED Platinum certified and features one of the largest solar panel arrays on a US convention center, producing 25-30% of the electricity used.
