Thomas Michael Menino Convention and Exhibition Center is a premier exhibition and convention facility located in Boston, Massachusetts, serving as one of the largest and most technologically advanced convention centers in the Northeastern United States. Originally known as the Boston Convention and Exhibition Center, the venue was renamed in July 2025 to honor former Boston Mayor Thomas Menino, who served from 1993 to 2014 and was instrumental in advocating for the development of the convention center. The facility features 516,000 square feet of adaptable, contiguous, nearly column-free exhibit space, making it among the largest exhibition centers in the region. The venue includes 82 flexible meeting rooms that can be combined and configured in multiple ways, a 40,000-square-foot column-free ballroom, and multiple customizable registration and function spaces. The center is equipped with industry-leading technology including free Wi-Fi access throughout the facility, digital displays, and more network bandwidth than any other U.S. convention center. Located in Boston's South Boston Seaport district on Summer Street, the venue is strategically positioned just 8 minutes from Logan International Airport, making it the shortest airport-to-convention center time in the country. The facility features a 62-bay loading dock with 5 elephant doors and an indoor staging area for efficient setup and teardown, along with 2 private ring roads that separate exhibitor and attendee traffic. The center is LEED Silver certified by the U.S. Green Building Council and incorporates environmentally conscious practices including sensor-controlled utilities, high-efficiency lighting, green cleaning products, and food waste composting. The venue hosts a wide variety of events including trade shows, conventions, consumer shows, and corporate events, serving diverse industries and welcoming over 500,000 attendees annually. With 1,300 parking spaces available and excellent public transportation access via the MBTA Silver Line World Trade Center station, the facility provides comprehensive amenities for both exhibitors and attendees.
