WUF13

The thirteenth session of the World Urban Forum (WUF13) will be held in Baku, Azerbaijan, co-organized by the United Nations Human Settlements Programme (UN-Habitat) and the Government of Azerbaijan. Under the theme of 'Housing the world: Safe and resilient cities and communities', WUF13 will convene around 25,000 participants from more than 130 countries and examine how housing can act as a foundation for inclusive, resilient and sustainable urban development. The forum will address crucial challenges such as housing, land use, urban planning, governance and participation. Nearly 3 billion people worldwide face some form of housing inadequacy, including more than 1.1 billion living in informal settlements and over 300 million experiencing homelessness. WUF13 offers a unique platform to share practical solutions, shape global policy, and accelerate investment to ensure adequate housing for all. The event will feature dialogues, exhibitions, networking events, and various sessions focused on sustainable urban development.
