ACA International, founded in 1939, describes itself as the leading association in the accounts receivable management industry and the largest membership organization in that field in the United States. Its membership brings together third-party collection agencies, law firms, asset-buying companies, creditors, and vendor affiliates, representing well over a hundred thousand industry employees. The association focuses on advocacy at the state and federal level, working to influence legislative, regulatory, and litigation outcomes that affect the accounts receivable management industry. ACA also provides education, credentialing, and professional development resources intended to help member organizations improve compliance and grow their businesses, along with risk-management products such as errors and omissions and cyber liability insurance through its Collectors Insurance Agency.
