About African Space Agency
The African Space Agency (AfSA) is the official space agency of the African Union, inaugurated in April 2025 at its permanent headquarters in Egypt's Space City, Cairo. AfSA coordinates space activities across African Union member states, promotes space science and technology, supports capacity building, and develops Africa's space economy. The agency works to harness space technologies for development challenges, foster international cooperation, and build a sustainable and innovative space sector across the African continent.
