Dogwood IFT

Dogwood IFT is the North Carolina section of the Institute of Food Technologists (IFT), operating as a non-profit networking organization for professionals in the food science and food and beverage industries. The chapter has been recognized by IFT at the national level as a Section or Chapter of Excellence, reflecting its standing within the broader IFT network. Dogwood IFT connects food industry professionals across North Carolina, and more broadly the United States and Canada, through regular meetings, conferences, and educational programming covering food science and technology topics. Its flagship event is an annual trade show, referred to as the Food Industry Expo or Suppliers Night, which brings together professionals from food science and technology, ingredient sales and purchasing, and research and development for networking and business connections. The organization also promotes professional development opportunities, including the Certified Food Scientist credential, to support members' career growth, and anyone who joins IFT as a North Carolina resident automatically becomes a Dogwood IFT member.
