About Garland Chamber of Commerce
The Garland Chamber of Commerce, originally founded in 1895 as the Garland Commercial Club and renamed in 1923, is a business membership organization based in Garland, Texas, dedicated to connecting the city's industry professionals, promoting business growth, and supporting the local economy. The Chamber has evolved alongside Garland's economic history, from its early roots in agriculture through the city's industrial era beginning in 1939, and now serves businesses across multiple sectors. Its programs include the Garland Economic Development Partnership, established in 1995; the Dallas County Manufacturers' Association (DCMA), established in 2006 to support the area's manufacturing sector and its supply chain; a Small Business Development Center, added in 2011; the Hispanic Business Association; the Women's Business E-nitiative; and Legislative Affairs initiatives representing member interests. The Chamber organizes annual and monthly networking events, publishes the Dallas County Manufacturers' Association Journal highlighting local industry success stories, and provides member businesses with advertising, networking, and advocacy opportunities, describing itself as having served the Garland business community for more than 120 years.
