Global Business Travel Association (GBTA)

The Global Business Travel Association (GBTA) is a trade organization headquartered in the Washington, D.C. area, describing itself as the world's premier business travel and meetings trade organization serving stakeholders across six continents. GBTA's more than 9,000 members represent and advocate for the global business travel and meetings industry, supporting a network of more than 28,000 travel professionals and 125,000 active contacts worldwide. The association delivers education, events, research, advocacy, and media through both GBTA and its affiliated GBTA Foundation, including its annual GBTA Convention, described as the largest and most comprehensive annual gathering of business travel managers, meeting managers, procurement professionals, and suppliers in the world, alongside regional conferences in markets such as Canada and Mexico. GBTA also produces the GBTA Business Travel Index (BTI), an extensive forecast covering business travel preferences, behaviors, spending, and growth across 72 countries and 44 industries, and runs initiatives such as the Sustainability Acceleration Challenge to advance climate action within the business travel sector. The organization is led by CEO Suzanne Neufang.
