About Microscopy Society of America (MSA) / Microanalysis Society (MAS)
Microscopy Society of America (MSA), founded in 1942, and the Microanalysis Society (MAS) are professional scientific organizations serving the microscopy and microanalysis community. MSA is headquartered in Reston, Virginia, and together with MAS co-hosts the annual Microscopy and Microanalysis (M&M) meeting, one of the premier international conferences for microscopists. The joint meeting features scientific sessions, poster presentations, workshops, short courses, and a major instrument and technology exhibition. The societies serve scientists, engineers, and technologists from academic, government, and industrial laboratories worldwide who use all forms of microscopy including electron, light, scanning probe, and other advanced microscopy techniques.
