National Apartment Association

The National Apartment Association (NAA), founded in 1939 and headquartered in Arlington, Virginia, describes itself as America's leading advocate for quality rental housing. NAA is a federation of approximately 170 state and local affiliates, comprising more than 55,000 multifamily housing companies that together represent more than 6.2 million apartment homes across the United States and Canada. NAA's membership spans all facets of the multifamily housing industry, including apartment owners, management executives, developers, builders, investors, property managers, leasing consultants, maintenance personnel, and suppliers. The association provides advocacy, research, technology, and education services to its members, monitoring legislation and regulations across all 50 states and partnering with the National Multi Housing Council on federal legislative and regulatory issues. NAA's Education Institute offers six nationally recognized professional designation programs, and the association publishes units Magazine along with other industry publications. NAA also hosts the NAA Education Conference & Exposition, the industry's premier education conference and trade show, drawing thousands of multifamily housing professionals for networking and professional development each year.
