National Automatic Merchandising Association (NAMA) is the American national trade association representing the $40+ billion US convenience services industry, founded in 1936. NAMA serves as the leading advocate for the vending, micro markets, office coffee service, and foodservice management industries, including on-site, commissary, catering, and mobile services. Headquartered in Arlington, Virginia, NAMA represents more than 1,000 member companies, including hundreds of small businesses and many of the world's most recognized brands. The association provides comprehensive advocacy, education, and research services for its membership, supporting over 165,000 jobs nationwide and serving 40 million American consumers daily. NAMA's mission is to collectively advance and promote the automatic merchandising and coffee service industries, a commitment that has guided the organization since its founding. The association hosts major industry events including The NAMA Show, an annual convention that serves as the premier gathering for the unattended convenience industry, and the Coffee, Tea & Water (CTW) show designed specifically for operators and suppliers to collaborate on office coffee service and pantry offerings. NAMA also conducts an annual Fly-In event in Washington, D.C., bringing more than 300 industry leaders together to discuss regulatory issues, calorie disclosure requirements, overtime pay, and other matters affecting the convenience services industry.
