About National Museum of Fine Arts of Cuba, National Council of Plastic Arts (CNAP)
The National Museum of Fine Arts of Cuba (Museo Nacional de Bellas Artes de La Habana) is Cuba's foremost art museum and one of the most significant cultural institutions in Latin America. Founded in 1913, it houses one of the largest and most comprehensive collections of Cuban art in the world, spanning from the colonial era to contemporary art, alongside exceptional collections of world art including ancient Egyptian and Greco-Roman pieces, and works from European masters. The museum operates two landmark buildings in central Havana: the Palacio de Bellas Artes dedicated to Cuban art and the Palacio del Centro Asturiano housing the universal art collection. It organizes major national and international art exhibitions, cultural exchanges, and educational programs.
