VIT Expo Inc., a division of Talk Travel Media based in Vancouver, British Columbia, produces the Vancouver International Travel Expo, described as Western Canada's largest annual travel event. Talk Travel Media began as a travel television program before launching Canada's first online digital travel magazine, and has since expanded to include a trade publication distributed to travel professionals across Canada and the United States, as well as a consumer magazine distributed through the Globe and Mail. Since its inaugural show in 2016, the Vancouver International Travel Expo has grown from drawing just under 6,000 consumer attendees and more than 400 participating travel agents to attracting thousands of visitors and hundreds of exhibitors annually at the Vancouver Convention Centre. The expo brings together exhibitors from ocean and river cruise lines, airlines, hotels and all-inclusive resorts, tour operators, destination marketing organizations, and travel agencies, and the show now runs alongside the related Vancouver Wedding & Honeymoon Expo, which features wedding and honeymoon venues, culinary and wellness tourism offerings, and additional travel-related vendors.
