Washington State Tree Fruit Association
About Washington State Tree Fruit Association
The Washington State Tree Fruit Association (WSTFA), established in 1968 and headquartered in Yakima, Washington, is a professional association dedicated to adding value to all segments of the state's tree fruit industry. The association's mission is carried out through educational programs and conferences, statistics that enable growers and packers to plan for market opportunities, and engagement in Washington State government affairs to help address market uncertainty driven by government policy. WSTFA organizes a range of industry events, including its Annual Meeting, golf tournaments, Tree Fruit Day, and specialized educational programming, serving tree fruit growers, packers, and other agricultural industry stakeholders across Washington State. The association is widely recognized for its annual crop production forecasts, regularly cited by national media outlets, providing critical economic and market insight ahead of each year's apple, pear, and other tree fruit harvests. WSTFA is led by President Jon DeVaney and supported by a staff team handling regulatory and industry affairs, communications and events, training and education, and data analysis for its membership.
