California Dental Association (CDA)

California Dental Association (CDA) is a nonprofit professional organization representing organized dentistry in California, founded in 1870 and celebrating over 150 years of service to the dental profession. As the largest state dental association in the United States and the largest constituent of the American Dental Association, CDA brings together 27,000 dentists through 32 local dental societies throughout California. The organization serves as a comprehensive resource for dental professionals, providing innovative programs, educational opportunities, unmatched expertise, and comprehensive resources to support members at every stage of their careers. CDA organizes major dental exhibitions and conventions, most notably CDA Presents The Art and Science of Dentistry, which features over 450 exhibitors, 200+ courses and workshops, and attracts thousands of dental professionals annually. The association facilitates a community where dentists can learn, share, be inspired and grow in their profession while championing better oral health for all Californians through legislative advocacy, practice support, and educational initiatives. CDA also publishes the award-winning Journal of the California Dental Association, a peer-reviewed scientific publication established in 1893, and operates through its subsidiaries including The Dentists Insurance Company and TDIC Insurance Solutions. The CDA Foundation, formed in 2001 as the philanthropic arm, provides grants and awards to dental professionals and community-based organizations, and hosts CDA Cares dental clinics that have provided over $25 million in care to more than 30,000 Californians in need.
